This week we just kinda make fun of the Hollywood Reporter for not mentioning Transformers when they totally should and Epson is getting into the fashion printing business because they finally realized that nobody prints on paper anymore.

• Tomy (Takara Tomy) to Make Pixar Toys and Some Fool Wrote a Whole Article about that and Didn’t Even Mention TRANSFORMERS!
Nothing of real import here other than to point out that this source excreted an article about Tomy – Takara Tomy in Japan – starting to make toys for Pixar as part of a global effort to increase its brand reach, BUT without mentioning the fact that Takara Tomy spawned Transformers which in turn inspired a generation of dorky Japanese and American and other nerds to get all kindsa hip to robotics. Because like, you totally wouldn’t want to mention the company’s most famous product ever, right? That’s bad form, Hollywood Reporter! Oh crap…just made fun of the Hollywood Reporter for crap jurnalizm. That’s the JTFF’s bad.

• Epson Dye-Sublimation Goes Fashiony
Epson’s been making printers and stuff for like 40 years…but who actually needs a printer anymore, right? Well aware of such, the Japanese company is naturally looking for places other than paper on which to flex their printing skills, and since screen printing and hand-dying fabrics is a major pain in the ass, there’s a market there! Epson’s Dye-Sublimination tech uses heat to print solid inks onto plasticy surfaces (kinda) and produces continuous, uninterrupted tones that you would think human eyes can’t perceive but they actually can and it looks awesome on fabrics and shit and whatever go read the article if you really care because how it works isn’t the point the point is that Epson is trying really hard not to die. Seemingly. Sorry. Tired. Kisses.
